Emergency First Aid training covers all the required basic first aid and CPR/AED skills to help you deal with various emergencies. Some of these skills include CPR/AED & choking, assisting with medications, allergies, heart attack, stroke & life-threatening bleeding. This course can be completed in 1 day/8 hours.
Standard First Aid is designed to teach you the same skills that are taught in emergency first aid, plus far more! Some of the additional topics covered include head & spinal injuries, bone, muscle & joint injuries, medical emergencies & poisons. This course goes into greater depth, allowing more time to practice skills. The time required to finish the course is usually 2 days/14 hours.
*These training programs cannot be recertified (see do you offer recertification courses) in Newfoundland & Labrador. If you wish to renew or maintain your certificate at these levels, you will need to complete a full training course again.
